Flag Sonar is a reputation audit tool. You upload your own social media history, we review it against the standards employers actually screen for, and you see what they would see.
Why we built it
Background checks once verified facts. Employment, education, and criminal record. Now they include your social media, and the scope keeps growing: hiring, promotions, admissions, tenancy, visas. What started as verification has become interpretation, and the thing being interpreted is years of your life written in contexts that no longer exist.
Privacy settings do not solve this. Locking an account does not unpublish what is already public.
What we think
People should be able to change. A post from six years ago is evidence of who you were, not who you are, and it should not be the first thing a stranger learns about you.
We are not arguing that screening should stop. We are arguing that if you are going to be read, you should get to read it first.
How we work
Your data stays yours. It comes from an export only you can request, sits behind your login, is isolated from every other account, and is encrypted.
